The Burton High School Percussion Ensemble is comprised of students in grades 9-12 who play in the percussion sections of the Burton Band Program. This ensemble meets as a class during the school day for percussionists only and focuses on all percussive rudiments, all percussion instruments, and music literature for the whole band program. Ensembles these percussionists perform with are the Winter Percussion Ensemble, Burton Marching Band, and the Burton Symphonic Band.
Winter Percussion is an ensemble that meets during the percussion class and several after school and weekend rehearsals in the Spring semester. They work and prepare a show centered around a theme and tells a story through marching and mallet percussion.
